Effective: October 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Marumo, a pet-care log app (the "app") provided by the Marumo team ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the extent these terms don't cover something.
The app offers care check-offs, health records, a vet card, health reports, a photo diary, reminders, and record sharing among family members. We may add or change features to improve the service and will give notice of significant changes that affect you negatively.
Records, the vet card, reminders and health reports help you keep track of your pet's care. They are not a substitute for a veterinarian's diagnosis or treatment; always consult a vet about your pet's health. Reminders can be late or missed because of device settings, connectivity or battery state, so don't rely on them alone for important medication or appointments.
Don't use someone else's account or invite code without permission, interfere with or reverse-engineer the app or its servers, or upload content that breaks the law or infringes others' rights. We may limit access for violations.
We may pause the service for maintenance, outages or events beyond our control. If we shut the service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and explain how to export your records.
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for losses caused by missed or late reminders, lost devices, or mistakes in the records you enter, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. Your data is then handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, so cancel it in Apple Settings first.
We'll announce changes in the app and on this page at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that affect you negatively).
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes will be handled by the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
